Regular Guy EAT'N FOOD on TV!

Hello everyone out in Blogville, U.S.A., hope all is well! I'll keep this little post short and sweet...

It's actually been almost a week now, but I got to appear on a great local talk show we have out here called "Talk of Alabama" on ABC 33/40! It was a lot of fun and Ebony Hall did an awesome job with the interview! Everyone there was super nice and extremely professional, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Definitely wish I could have gotten some more "behinds the scenes" footage for you though. I was able to take these silly pictures outside in the lobby area which was fun. They had a lot of Emmy's! :) Couldn't do any others later because my cell phone had to be turned off before entering the set (which is totally understandable). Check out this pics cluster and let me know what you think about the vid of the broadcast in the link below? Peace!

Regular Guy EAT'N FOOD To-Go: Knoxville, TN

My wife and I took a mini vacay to Knoxville, TN two weekends ago and it was such a great little trip! We were going to see a band we like, Dawes, perform at the Bijou Theatre. I of course took this not only as a chance to see some great music, but to try some great local cuisine! After all, I do love to eat!

One of the first food stops on our trip was Tupelo Honey Cafe in Market Square. A great mix of Southern favorites that will wrap you in a snugly blanket of happy soul goodyness! :) For an appetizer we had their Pimento Cheese Dip and it was delish! I've always been a pimento cheese fan, but never had it served hot. Who would have thunk it! Tasty!

For my main event though I went with their Mountain Pulled Pork sandwich with a side of Brussels slaw. They put tobacco onions on it (I know right?), house-made pickles, and the "piece de resistance" smoked jalapeno BBQ sauce pulled pork. Umm, yes please! If that doesn't make your mouth water...

Candice had the fried chicken plate which was equally as tasty. I know, because I got to try a little bit too! Perks of being married! Ha! That mac & cheese was the bomb diggity!

For lunch the next day we went to the French Market Creperie on S. Gay Street. If you want some awesome authentic French style food, you should definitely check them out! I had their seasonal crepe made for the Rossini Festival which happened to be that weekend too. It was of the pepperoni pizza variety and was full of cheesy goodness! Can't go wrong with anything with a little pizza flare!

All in all, the trip was great! Knoxville has so much to offer that we didn't get to see because as I said, this was a shorty trip. We'll definitely go back in the future though. And I'm sure I'll eat some more!
